The services of Pacific Powertech Inc.(PPI) were retained by Cadillac Fairview to complete the 15kVdistribution system upgrades, from electromechanical relays that were over 40 years old and failing oil-filled circuit breakers, to the latest solid-state relays and compact vacuum type circuit breakers. The PPI Engineering department designed the custom supports, doors, and covers with AutoCad sheet metal software to accommodate new breakers in the existing switchgear, and had all components professionally fabricated and powder coated to the specifications.

The PPI Field Services department performed the installation during nighttime to minimize the outage impact on the customer, where the new equipment was successfully installed, wired, and commissioned in accordance with NETA ATS standards and certified by a third party to meet CSA SPE 1000certification.

The new equipment will provide the protection and accuracy required to ensure a long-lasting and stable electrical distribution system for our client. Pacific Powertech Inc. is proud to have completed this project.
