Pacific Powertech completed a transformer leak repair project for BC Hydro at the Nelway Substation in Salmo, BC. The work involved a rare phase-shifting transformer used for cross-border power transfer, consisting of series and exciter transformer compartments connected through an interconnection section with cable ducts. Our technicians performed on-site testing and inspection, including removal of the tap changer diverter switch, to support reliable operation of this critical asset.
